3-8-08 - NotaryBids.com Blog Launched

Late last month we responded to the numerous requests we received from notaries wanting to sign up for our service but not wanting to enter their credit card info until they received business. We removed the requirement that a credit card be entered to create the account if Plan 2 is chosen. When a notary wins a bid only then will they be prompted to enter their credit card info to pay the $9.95 fee. If Plan 1 is chosen the initial charge of $29.00 must be made using a credit card. Based on this change our service truly is NO COST TO JOIN!

October 8th was a big day here at NotaryBids.com! The much anticipated "Bid Master" management system accounts were launched. Bid Master accounts are for industry professionals who need notary services on a regular basis and want a fast and easy way to manage all their activity. Just click here to create an account: http://notarybids.com/csignup1.asp. Some of the highlights include access to Notary Business Cards for pending bids, instant text messaging to your notary, our exclusive "Side By Side" comparison of notaries that are bidding on a particular job and of course saved profile info and preferences. Ckicl the Thumbnail to view a sample of a "Side By Side" comparison! The Bid Master account combined with our already "Next Generation" bid system is an unbeatable combination we are sure our customers will love!

On September 14th we changed our Live Help Center software to Volusion Live Chat System. Our previous software proved inadequate. It just was not working well and our customers were having trouble communicating with us. The Volusion system has been working great! We are very excited about the change and feel we can do a much better job of servicing everyone. Should you find the need for Chat software we encourage you to check out Volusion. They have a free version that is hard to beat too.

Early in September the mail will be filled with post cards introducing hundreds of escrow agents to notaryBids.com!

We are expecting a very positive response and hope for plenty of business for all to result. Notaries: watch your phones and inboxes!

On August 26th 2007 we revamped our whole approach to how we do business. Rather than clients submitting a bid request, our technology randomly choosing local notaries and the client wading through the bids, we made it so the client can choose up front which notaries they want bids from. Now, it's 3 easy steps for our clients. 1) Enter the zip code 2) Choose the notaries from a list 3) submit your bid request! We are very excited about this upgrade and anticipate a ramp up in business for us all thanks to this more "hands on" interactive approach. In addition our notaries can now search their own zip code and see their actual listing with us.

One of our goals at NotaryBids.com is to provide the best possible service we can to everyone while keeping costs at a minimum. Since we do not sit by the phone waiting for calls we added the "Live Help Center" which is basically 1 on 1 real time "Chat." Real time chat means you can reach a live person immediately during normal business hours or whenever operators are available. The Live Help Center can be accessed from various areas of our website, most conveniently from the CONTACT US button on the main menu. Feel free to stop by and say hi sometime!

On August 24th 2007 we made it even faster and easier for lenders, title companies, escrow agents and others to use our service. We are very excited to announce that now on our home page a bid request can be initiated by simply typing the zip code a notary is needed in to the box and clicking the "GO >>" button. As always our technology will check and see if we have notaries that service the county the zip code is located in and display the results. If we have notaries there the client is given the option to submit a bid request. How easy is that? Our hopes are that this new high visibility and simplicity will capture new clients and build long term relationships even faster.

On August 16th 2007 we launched our first Google advertising campaign. For those of you that don't know, Google is the webs most popular search engine. In addition they have the most extensive advertising network on the Internet today. How many sites do you visit that DON'T have Google advertising on them somewhere? Very few... This is just one of many steps we are taking to get the word out about NotaryBids.com and to increase our exposure and awareness to the industry. Just do a Google search for "Mobile Notary" or "Signing Agent" or any number of other keywords we chose and you will see us on the top or right side of the search results page. In the coming months we intend to invest more money so our ads will appear more often and always at the top of the list!

On August 12th 2007 we once again used Googles new "Custom Search Engine" service to create the first Notary Industry Search Engine. Just click "SEARCH" above to check it out! What is a "Notary Industry Search Engine"? It's a search engine that searches only websites that are related to the notary industry, not the entire internet. We felt this would be a great tool for notaries to use so they can find information related to our industry fast and easy. In addition we thought providing this tool was a great way to give something back to the community and drive additional traffic to our site. Please mote: It is NOT a way to find a notary if you are looking for one.

In addition we also purchased the domain www.NotarySearchEngine.com and have big plans for that! For now, it takes you to our Notary Industry Search Engine. Check back for more updates about that.

On August 10th 2007 we added the ability to search our site. Thanks to Google and their terrific new "Custom Search Engine" service we implemented a powerful search tool that uses their technologies to help our visitors search our site and find what is needed fast. Just click "SEARCH" above to try it out!

On July 16th 2007 we changed the initial $2.49 charge to sign up for Plan 2 to just a $1.00 authorization. Our reason for doing this is to encourage more and more notaries to sign up with us. We will all be more successful and get more business by having the most territory covered in the US. If a clients first transaction is a success they will come back again and again.

What do we mean by "authorization"? An authorization means your credit card is authorized for $1.00 but we do not keep it. It gets automatically credited back to your card. Why an authorization? Because all along we actually wanted to make Plan 2 a free sign up. But our concern was making sure that when it comes time for notaries to accept a job and for them to pay our $9.95 fee, we didn't want the signing delayed by charge card problems. We wanted to get things like expired cards, inaccurate addresses and yes even declines for $1.00 out of the way in advance!

June 22nd 2007 was the official launch of the NotaryBids.com Web site and service. Our first goal is reaching out to the notary community and getting notaries signed up. We can't begin marketing notary services to the real Estate Industry unless we have notaries right? In addition, we are beginning a very aggressive campaign to get NotaryBids.com noticed on the web since our web site is the core component of our business model. Click here to google us: http://www.google.com/search?q=NotaryBids.com

Our goals are simple. 1) Bring lenders, title companies, escrow companies and others that need mobile notary signing agents together with the best notaries at the lowest prices while maintaining pricing standards for the notary community. 2) Develop the fastest and easiest system to accomplish that using today's latest technologies 3) Give notaries a fair and impartial way to market their services directly to potential new clients.
